Maurice E. Thomas

Maurice E. Thomas of Evansville, IN passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on November 16, 2022 under the care of Deaconess Hospice. He was born on July 29, 1943 in Owensboro, KY and raised in Geneva, KY.

He graduated from Henderson County High School in 1960. He worked as an Auto Sales Representative at many local dealerships and retired as a Finance Manager at Wright Motors. Maurice, also known as Mo enjoyed playing golf. He was a big Nascar fan, and he and Rita went to numerous races.

Maurice was preceded in death by his parents, William and Nancy Thomas; sister, Juanita.

He is survived by his wife, Rita; fur baby, Mika; daughter, Casey Brendel (Justin); sons, Tony Thomas (Joni), Jonathan Thomas; daughter, Teri Privette (Randy); grandchildren, Danielle, Whitley, Emma, Harper, Jackson, Mac, Cole and Maggie; great-grandchildren, Abby and Kylie.

The family would like to thank Deaconess 5th floor staff and hospice for the care and compassion they showed to Maurice in his final days.

A private service will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, November 21, 2022 at Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel with burial to follow. The family requests that only close friends and family may visit 11:00 a.m. until service time at the cemetery chapel.
