

Maxine L. Frick, 96, of Evansville, passed away Monday, February 20, 2017, into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was born, along with her twin sister, Maurine, December 21, 1920, to Frank S. and Maggie (Tanner) Martin in Chicago, IL.
In her early years she traveled nationwide with Maurine performing a dance routine known as the “Martin Twins.” They once performed before Henry Ford, the auto manufacturer, in Chicago. In 1937 her family moved to Evansville where Maxine, Maurine, and Harry Richards opened a dance studio. In 1941 Maxine married Leroy Frick, a chemist with Mead Johnson. She was an active member of the Community Players Theatrical Group. She was past president of the Evansville Garden Club, member of the Coterie Dance Club, Evansville Country Club, Kennel Club, Petroleum Club, Central Turner’s, and Daughters of the American Revolution. She loved to play bridge, mahjong, and travel.
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Maggie Martin; and her husband of 64 years, Leroy Frick.
She is survived by her sisters, Maurine Richards and Margaret (Bernard) Connolly; and numerous nieces and nephews and their children.
