She was a member of McCutchanville Community Church. She and her husband enjoyed square dancing and camping. She also enjoyed cooking, bird watching, her dogs, and gardening.
Maxine was preceded in death by her second husband in 1994, Vernon Woodruff, Jr. and her sister, Mary Drysdale Harris.
Maxine is survived by her children, John Townsend (Cindy), Rosemary Lynch, David Townsend, Larry Woodruff, Terri Hart (Brian), and Gary Woodruff (Beth); brothers, Paul, John, James Doty; sister, Martha Young; 13 grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 PM Monday, April 8, 2013 at McCutchanville Community Church, 9505 Petersburg Rd, Evansville, IN 47725, officiated by Pastor Stan Gilham with burial in McCutchanville Church Cemetery.
