Melvin "Mel" Bell

He graduated from Reitz High School in 1959 and was an Army veteran, serving in the Korean War. For over 23 years, Mel worked at Moll Tool. He was an avid baseball player and golfer, and enjoyed working in his yard.

Mel was preceded in death by his son, Trinity Bell; two sisters; five brothers; and his parents.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Shelby (Norrick) Bell; children, Tracy (Samantha Wharton), Tony (Lynn Stilwell), Tim (Bobbi Cole) and Tamara Bell (Marcus) Head; grandchildren, Samantha, Cindy, Bailey, Jacob, Victoria, Katelyn, Samuel, Madison, Dawson, Tanner, Hope, Nathaniel, Grace, Max, Molly, Leland, Lillian and Kayden; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ruth Anderson and Karen Erwin; and brothers, Burtis and Larry Bell.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, November 16, 2017, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. Karl Crowe. Friends may visit Thursday from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
