

He retired from Creative Press after 30 years and was currently working at Papa Murphy’s.
Mike was a member of Graphic Communications International Union and Evansville Baseball Umpires Association.
He attended Mill Road Baptist Church for many years and had more recently attended Christian Fellowship Church.
Mike enjoyed Nascar and umpiring baseball. He was a diehard Pittsburg Steelers Fan. He adored his grandchildren and loved spending time with them. He was a loving husband and father. Mike was outgoing, friendly and never met a stranger.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence “Duke” Ellington.
Mike is survived by his wife of 38 years, Linda Ellington; mother, Toby Ellington; sons, Chris Ellington (Teresa), Larry Ellington (Kasie); grandchildren, Brianna, Emmalee, and Larzen; brother, Lawrence Wayne Ellington (Dee); nephew, Joey Ellington; nieces, Keesha Ellington and Laura Harris; father & mother-in-law, Jim and Edith Luttrell; sister-in-law, Susan Harris (Marshall).
Services will be held at 11a.m. Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by Pastor Colin Kerr with burial at Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit Friday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and from 10 a.m. until service time on Saturday at Alexander North Chapel.
