From Abe: Mike, I knew you for a short time and know that Kathy (my sister) made the right choice. I could see the twinkle in her eyes when we were all together because of you. I wish we had more time together. I can hear your voice in my mind when we were just shooting the breeze - laid back & comfortable. I wish I could be there to celebrate your life today. As my friend and brother-in-law, I love you. Abe Tamayo

From Jan: I wish we could be there today, but know that our hearts and prayers are. Janice Workman

I am so sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of working with Mike at the Postal Service for many years. He was a great guy and a great guy to work with. He was a great Postmaster of Inglefield. He will be missed.

Mike was a loving, concerned and patient person. We worked together at the Medical Center and he was my teacher for Tai Chi. Mike was a calm place in a storm.

In 1970 Mike and I began playing music and writing songs. We became as brothers over the years.
Mike loved being a musician and played with several bands but never missed a practice or recording session with me.
I will miss Mike.

Mike was one of the good guys. I have known Mike since shortly after I first moved to Evansville in 1975 to work at EVPL. He was working at McCollough Branch then. I ran into him off and on through the years after he began his Post Office career. I reconnected with him (and met his wife) when I sang at some annual Lennon Nights with Mike, the Williamsons, and others. He was low-key, rational, and kind, and had a mischievous sense of humor. I am truly sorry that he is gone.
