Michael W. Tyler, 64, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2026 at his home. He was a man whose kindness knew no limits, whose heart was always open, and whose presence brought comfort and warmth to everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Born on July 19, 1961 in Evansville, IN to Donald and Patricia Ann (Alexander) Tyler. He went on to graduate from F.J. Reitz High School in 1979. From there, he started his career at Keller Crescent until they closed in 2015. He then began his journey at Sterling Industrial, where he was set to retire May 29, 2026. Mike was a member of the Riverbend Association and the Order of Owls, Nest 30.
Mike lived a life defined by compassion, humility, and generosity. He was the kind of person who would go out of his way to help anyone in need, never asking for anything in return. His easy going nature and gentle spirit made him a steady source of strength and joy for his family and friends.
Above all, Mike was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He cherished time spent with his loved ones and created countless memories filled with laughter, support, and unconditional love. His family was his greatest pride, and he dedicated his life to caring for those he held dear.
He will be deeply missed by Brandi (Rodgers) Tyler, his wife of 36 years; daughter, Alex Price (Joshua); sons, Ryan Rea (Lydia) and Mitchell Rea ( Taryn); and grandchildren, Ava (19), Miles (15), Ella (12), Sophia (10), Lukas (9), Nora (5), and Brody (4). He is also survived by his father, Donald Tyler; sister, Sondra Wehrman (David); brother, Daniel Tyler (Kim); mother-in-law, Dixie Billings (Ben); father-in-law, Robert "Bob" Rodgers (Martha); brother-in-law, Rob Rodgers; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. Mike will also be missed by the many friends whose lives he touched in meaningful ways. He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Tyler.
Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we find comfort in knowing that his legacy of kindness and love will live on in all who knew him. His gentle spirit and giving heart will never be forgotten.
