Mildred “Butchie” Martha (Zimmerman) Daugherty, 79, passed away at Bethel Manor Nursing Home on Thursday, January 17, 2019. She was born October 14, 1939 in Evansville to the late Frank and Myrtle (Kuester) Zimmerman.
She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed camping, listening to country music, gardening, crocheting and the Vanderburgh County 4-H fair.
Mildred is survived by three daughters, Carolyn Bridgewater (Dale) of Roscoe, IL, Judy George (Timothy, decease) of Evansville and Jennifer Chittenden (Edward, Jr.) of Evansville; 8 grandchildren, Amanda Bridgewater of Kent, WA, Tiffany Kirkham (Stewart) of Port Orchard, WA, Jason Bridgewater (decease), Aaron Bridgewater of Bethel, Alaska, Alan George of Evansville, Edward Chittenden III of Evansville, Samantha Braun (Dustin) of Evansville, Adam George –Titzer of Evansville; 4 great-grandchildren, Emily and Matthew Kirkham, Josie Morgan and Hunter Braun; sister, Mayta Offerman, and many nieces/nephews.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Everett, Gilbert, Marvin and Richard Zimmerman, and sisters, Arlene Zimmerman, Norma Boyd, Helen Sandefur, Edna Morris and Betty Kiegel.
A Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 21, 2019 at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Road, officiated by Pastor Doug Heiman, with burial in Bethlehem United Church of Christ Cemetery. Friends may visit 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, January 20, 2019 and Monday from 10:00 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
