Mildred Aline Pate, 93, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2019, at West River Health Campus in Evansville, Indiana. Aline was born in Spurgeon, Indiana on May 2, 1926 to Normal and Ruth (Tyring) Fowler. She was married in 1947 to William R. Pate until his death in 1989. After graduating from Lockyear Business College in 1944, she worked for Green and Green Insurance, then was employed by EVSC for 25 years as the administrative secretary at Evans School. Aline joined St. John’s United Church of Christ in 1950 and belonged to the St. John’s Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed hosting many family dinners, card club groups and school events. She and Bill enjoyed traveling to Florida and Hawaii and made many trips as a family to fish the Minnesota Boundary Waters. She was a long time University of Evansville Purple Aces and Evansville Otters fan. Aline was very proud of her family and she will be fondly remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who leaves behind nothing but wonderful memories. She is survived by her two sons, Jeff and his wife Tina, of St. Wendel, Brad and his wife Cindy, of Haubstadt; grandchildren Jennifer and Molly Pate, Emily (Bryan) Sander, Sara (Jacob) Sapp, Jessica (Sam) Patton; five great-grandchildren; nieces, Catherine (Dennis) Renner, Diane Fowler (Gordon May), Susan Fowler, Sarah (Mark) Aiton, nephews David (Donna) Fowler and Jon (Connie) Fowler. Preceding her in death were her husband, her parents and brothers, Jim and Bill Fowler, and her beloved aunt, Audra Grubb. The family would like to thank the staff at The Charles Ford Memorial Home, West River Health Campus, and Kindred Hospice for their loving care. Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m., Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Rd. Evansville, Indiana, Reverend Lynn Martin officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, November 22, 2019 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity. Biography

Mildred Aline Pate, 93, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2019, at West River Health Campus in Evansville, Indiana. Aline was born in Spurgeon, Indiana on May 2, 1926 to Normal and Ruth (Tyring) Fowler. She was married in 1947 to William R. Pate until his death in 1989.
