She was preceded in death by her parents, Goebel and Lillian Dempesmeier Hardin; son, Orville Niehous Jr.; and brother, Charles Hardin and wife Edith.
Mildred is survived by her grandchildren, Dawn Head and Brian Niehaus; great-grandchildren, Tyler Head, Kyleigh Head, Collin Niehaus, and Jennah Niehaus; daughter-in-law, Karen Niehaus; step-sister, Hilda Davis; step-brother, Charles Dempesmeier; nieces and nephews, Agnes York, David Hardin, Esther Fort, Martha Vavra; and caregivers, Mike and Melissa Short.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, December 23, 2011 at Alexander West Chapel with burial at Bellfontaine Cemetery in Mt. Vernon, IN. Friends may visit from 10:00 AM until service time.
