Mitchell Neil Petty

Mitch grew up in Pinckneyville, Illinois and had a love for sports. He worked for Pella Corporation and was dedicated to his job. Mitch enjoyed family vacations and spending time with his children. His children were his greatest gift.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda (Mathis) Petty, and a half-brother, Colin Petty.

Mitch is survived by his wife, Meredith (Ackerman) Petty; sons, Blake and Evan Petty; daughter, Hannah Petty; father, Reggie Petty; step-mother, Diane Petty; half-sister, Chelsea Petty; and, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A memorial service will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Alexander North Chapel with Pastor Danny Walker officiating, and a private burial following in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit Saturday from 10:30 AM until service time at the funeral home.
