Morris "Buddy" A. Jones

He was a member of First Baptist Church in Elberfeld. Buddy was an Air Force veteran and went on the Honor Flight of Southern Indiana. He retired from Whirlpool, where he was known as “Jonesy”, after 38 years. Buddy was married to his late wife, Jerdie Jones, for 37 years. He was an avid Miami Dolphins fan and enjoyed gardening, photography, and drawing. He especially enjoyed attending his granddaughter Megan’s sporting events. He was her biggest fan. Buddy was devoted to his family and is best remembered as very giving with a wonderful sense of humor.

Buddy was preceded in death by his loving wife, Jerdie Jones; daughter, Lisa Fluty; grandson, Zachary Tieken; brother, Wilburn Jones; sisters, Joyce Grounds and Gillie O’ Leary; and twin sister, Martha Perryman.

He is survived by his daughter, Amy Baggett (Steve); son, Tom Jones; grandchildren, Megan Baggett, Nickolas Jones, and Erick Rager; 3 great grandchildren; son in law, Bill Fluty; sister, Mary Murphy; brother, Charles Jones (Donna); and close friends, Mike Cummings and Brenda Farny.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 14, 2025 at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by Bro. Jack Neighbors, with entombment to follow in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends and family may visit from 12:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
