He graduated from Reitz High School in 1948 then served in the US Navy for 22 years. Morris belonged to the VFW, American Legion Post #0187 Everette Burdette Post and DAV.
Morris was preceded in death by his son, Steven Miles; daughter, Brenda Ballard; and sister, Nancy Hunt.
He is survived by his daughters, Candice Knapp and Katherine Powell; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Rachel Gardner; and longtime friends, David and Donna.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, May 12, 2017, at Oak Hill Mausoleum Chapel, with entombment in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Friday from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM at Alexander West Chapel.
