She was a member of VFW Post 1114 Ladies Auxiliary.
Nancy was a proud, loving and devoted Mom and Grandmother, and soon to be Great-Grandmother. She enjoyed playing clabber with friends and was a wonderful cook.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Gertrude Pace; brothers, Robert Pace and Charles (Corkey) Pace.
Nancy is survived by her son, Randall W. Rakestraw (Suzanne); daughter, Kendra Rakestraw; son, David R. Rakestraw; grandson, Nicolas Rakestraw (Jessica); granddaughter, Katie Rakestraw; grandson, Adam Rakestraw; granddaughter, Randee Rakestraw; grandsons, Jacob Rakestraw, Austin Rakestraw; sister, Dorothy Gooch; special friend, Frances Keil.
Services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, June 23, 2011 at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. Mike Kough, with burial at Belle Rive Cemetery in Illinois. Friends may visit from 3:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at the funeral home.
