Nellie Pearl Allen

She was a member of Morningside Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She had worked at the ship yards, Chrysler Motors, and for over thirty years was a beautician and had a shop in her home. She enjoyed bowling, fishing, baking, family vacations, and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

Nellie was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; daughter-in-law, Patricia Allen; and eight brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her sons, Greg (Tammy) Allen and Michael (Marsha) Allen, both of Newburgh; daughter, Lisa (Dave) Kohl of Evansville; grandchildren, Christopher Allen, Michelle (Gary) King, Dane (Christy) Allen, Lindsey (Cody) Burress and Matthew (Allison) Kohl; great-grandchildren, Easton King, Elle King, Adalynn Burress and Conner Allen; several nieces and nephews; and best friend, Irene Powers.

Services will be 1:00 PM Monday, October 7, 2013, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. James Messer, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
