Nihla J. Allison, 77, of Evansville, passed away Monday, April 9, 2012, at Braun’s Nursing Home. She was born March 13, 1935, in Beaver Falls, PA.

The birds fell silent today, A very good soul departed this world, Truly missed by all who knew her, Forever loved and cherished.

Nihla enjoyed watching sports and the Science Fiction Channel. She always went out of her way to help others. Words alone only tell a small portion of how wonderful her heart shined.

She is survived by her sons, Kevin Huston and Kip (Brenda) Huston; daughter, Kandy (Greg) Smith; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Private services will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in Nihla's memory to St. Anthony or St. Mary Church.

To the family of Nihla, I am so sorry for your loss. Nihla and I were bowling partners for several years. We won the Doubles in city Bowling tourn. two years in a row. She was very special to me. We had a lot of good times together.

My dear nihla bug..I am going to miss you so very were not only a resident i took care of while i was at core but you also became my could always tell when something was wrong & never gave up untill i talked about it..I cried on your shoulder many always had just the right things yo say...You touched so many people & so many will forever be in my heart & everytime i see betty boop i will think of you & smile..R.I.P. my nihla bug..i love you..kande castros,whitney harris,tony hollins,nixon maurer

My heart goes out to Nihla's family. The short time I knew her I just fell in love with her, it was very easy to do everything in the world to help her with anythinhg she may need help with.She always had a smile on her face that just lit up the room. I will miss her so very much, rest in peace.
