

Norma Lee (Dorsey) Cook, 89, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, December 12, 2013, at Deaconess Hospice Care Center. She was born August 23, 1924, in Evansville, to the late Dello C. and Lena Rivers (Chamberlain) Dorsey.
She used to bowl on leagues at Franklin Lanes with her husband and enjoyed playing Par 3 Golf, Bingo and cards. She was a member of St. James United Methodist Church for many years. Norma had a wonderful personality, was loved by everyone and had lived in her home for over 80 years.
Norma was preceded in death by her husband, John Cook, in 1996; sisters, Loyola and Doris; and brother, Lamont.
She is survived by her daughters, Carol Kirkpatrick and Deborah (Joe) Frasier; son, John Cook, Jr., all of Evansville; grandchildren, Tamara Wingerter and Shawna Sawyer; great-grandchildren, Landon and Payton Sawyer; sister, Gloria Fickas of Douglasville, GA; nieces and nephews.
Services will be 11:00 AM Monday, December 16, 2013, at Alexander West Chapel, conducted by Celebrant Carrie Hatchett, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
