

A long-time resident of Evansville, Norma was an active member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ where she taught Sunday School for over 40 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman C. Schuessler, a native of Evansville and her son, Ronald John Schuessler, Retired US Air Force.
She is also survived by her daughters, Martha L. Thompson (Robert) of Terre Haute, IN and Ruth S. Jones of Scottsdale, AZ; five grandchildren, Steven Keith Schuessler (Donna), Kevin Lee Schuessler (Kim), Mark Penfield Jones (Ronda), Amy Thompson Hock (Jeffrey), and Andrew Robert Thompson. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren. The extended Schuessler family welcomed Norma, an only child, to their family and provided much valued friendship over the years.
On behalf of the family, special thanks go to the caring staff and residents at Sycamore Manor and to the staff of Hospice of the Wabash Valley.
Services will be 12:00-Noon Tuesday, November 15, 2011, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. Kimberly Schuessler, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Tuesday, from 10:30 AM until service time at the funeral home.
