Omegene V. Riggs

Dean was employed at Sears for over 30 years, working in the Fine Jewelry Department. She was an active member of Northeast Park Baptist Church. As a very proud mother and grandmother, Dean loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In her spare time she enjoyed flower gardening, bird watching, needlework and puzzles.

Dean is survived by her daughters, Karen Selby and husband, Steve, and Marti Garrett and husband, Dan, all of Evansville; son, Randy Riggs and wife, Barbara, of Indianapolis; granddaughters, Marnie Johnson and husband, Tony, Heather Vandiver and husband, Justin, all of Evansville, Jennifer Coldiron and husband, Jasen, Mandi Klinger and husband, Andrew, all of Greenwood, IN, Melissa Papson and husband, Alex, of Eaton, OH and Kendra Garrett of Greenville, SC; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1:30 PM Friday, March 30, 2012, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. Steve Taylor, with entombment in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Friday from 12:30 PM until service time at the funeral home.
