He was a family man first and desired to better himself. He lived his American Dream co-owning Yen Ching Restaurant. He lost his father at an early age and became an American Citizen more than a decade ago. He enjoyed Chinese literature, Poetry and History.
Pan-Chia was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Hsing Ying Yu, in 2007.
He is survived by his sons, Tse Kuang Yu and wife, Min Shie of Taiwan, Tse Wen Yu and wife, Tsui Yu, and Tse Jung (TJ) Yu (co-owner of Yen Ching Restaurant) and wife, Yu Yen (Lisa) Yu; daughter, Tse Min (Mindy) Yu; granddaughters, Patricia Wu, all of Evansville, Wei Fen (Will) Yu and Wei Shin (Joy) Yu, all of Taiwan; and grandsons, William Yu and wife, Shuang Liang, and Willis Yu, all of Evansville.
Services were 11:00 AM Thursday, December 27, 2012, at Alexander East Chapel, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends visited Wednesday from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at the funeral home.
