Thinking of you.  May the concern and sympathy of those who care help you through this difficult time.

For all those that have know the loss of a loved one and felt this sadness, this poem says it straight from the heart and so well, especially upon the passing of a dad and grandfather . . .

God saw you getting tired,
And a cure was not to be.
So he put his arms around you,
And whispered, "Come to me".
With tearful eyes they watched you,
As you slowly slipped away.
And though they loved you dearly,
They couldn't make you stay.
Your golden heart stopped beating,
Your tired hands put to rest.
God broke your hearts to prove to you, 💔
He only takes the best.

Such a wonderful man, and a great friend to my own father who recently passed at 91. They were good friends and neighbors for many years.  We have so many memories of growing up with you and Tricia, but we all grew out of touch and all our lives changed.  Wishing you comfort and peace in the coming days and weeks. 🩷

We are truly sorry for your loss. Allan and I thought the world of him. He was such a unique person and so humble about being a war hero. Allan has shared his story so many times you wouldn't believe. He always made us feel like he truly cared and we definitely cared about him. We are going to miss him dearly. 
Heaven is a much brighter place now because they just got one of the best.

Rest in Peace Uncle Pat. Some of my fondest, childhood memories, were when  you and your family visited Rhode Island over summer vacation. We looked forward to it every year.
