Patricia Ruth Frazier

Patricia Ruth Frazier, age 70, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Friday, February 28, 2020. “Pat” came into the world September 9, 1949 to the late Joyce Gardner and Clifton L. Markel. She was a class of 1967 graduate of Lowell High School. Pat went on to study at Purdue University, where she received her Bachelors in Elementary Education and Library Science (1971), followed by a Masters in Library Science (1973). After graduation Patricia married the love of her life and high school sweetheart, Alan Frazier on August 28th, 1971. Patricia is survived by her husband, Alan; children, Shannon (Tony) Oliver, Wesley (Sarah) Frazier, Shelley (Jeremy) Coomes; and 8 grandchildren, Treye, Olivia, Ella, Wyatt, Waylon, Charlie, Cooper and Carson; aunt, Patricia Cymbala; uncle, John Becker. Pat loved her family above all. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She loved supporting her children and grandchildren in a vast array of sports and extracurricular activities. She had a passion for libraries and reading and loved sharing this passion with her children and grandchildren. She was a woman of many talents, it wasn’t beyond her to finish an entire book in one sitting, help proofread an essay, waterski, or fix one of the best home cooked meals you’ve ever tasted. Gram, Grammy, Mom, Pat, will be missed dearly. Funerals services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 6, 2020 at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Rd., Evansville, IN 47711, officiated by Pastor Jerry Daniels, with burial to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Thursday, March 5, 2020 from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
