Patricia "Patti" Ann Genet, age 85, of Boonville, Indiana passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at her home surrounded by family. She was born in Evansville, IN to the late Gilbert Brink and Dorothea (Ricketts) Brink Wetherbee.
She was a student at Henry Reis Elementary School where she met her future husband, Ron Genet. She worked at National City Bank, Warrick National Bank and Old National Bank and retired after many years at age 66. Patti volunteered at Wish Upon a Star (Granted) and chaperoned many families to different destinations to grant children and families their wishes. She enjoyed her family and starting family traditions that they continue to honor today. Patti loved spending time with her family, friends, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She never met a stranger she didn't like and was always giving from her heart. She was the life of the party, telling stories and had a great sense of humor. Her smile was bright and filled the room with love. Patti was notorious for her all day shopping excursions and marathons. She loved a bargain and the clearance racks and her supersize diet Cokes!
Ron and Patti had a loving marriage for 66 1/2 years. He took amazing care of her the past six years and she will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. They always won the dance contest for the longest marriage at weddings.
