Patricia "Pat" Ruth Nance

Patricia "Pat" Ruth Nance, age 89, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Monday, November 6, 2023. She was born in Evansville, Indiana on July 5, 1934, to the late Charles Sanders and Madeline (Merritt) Stinchfield.

Pat brought laughter and joy wherever she went, known for her fabulous sense of humor and quick wit. She found great pleasure in playing par 3 golf at Howell Park, where she always had an abundance of fun. Pat's working life included over 25 years of dedication at Whirlpool, and later, she continued her journey at SWIRCA and Howell Golf Course. She held a special place in her heart for her co-workers, considering them her extended family.

Pat leaves behind a legacy of love and is survived by her son, Michael Nance; granddaughter, Loreena (Shane) Nance; grandson, Chris Arnold; two great grandsons; brother, Darrell Stinchfield; niece, Judy (Larry) Swallows; adopted daughter, Debbie Hape; best friend, Clarice Kern; loyal cat, Epstein; and a host of extended family members and friends.

Pat was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 40 years, Thomas Nance; daughter, Paula Maurice; son, Tommy Nance; and several siblings.

Family and friends are invited to join for a Visitation on Friday, November 10, 2023, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois Street. The funeral service will commence at 1:30 pm and will be officiated by Pastor Terry Gamblin, with Pat's final resting place next to her husband at Alexander Memorial Park.
