Paul R. Snapp
May 23, 1927 – June 12, 2021

Paul Reed Snapp, 94, of Evansville, Indiana, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Linda E. White Hospice House. Paul was born in Russellville, Illinois on May 23, 1927, to the late Earl Harold and Emma (Caughran) Snapp.
He graduated from Lawrenceville High School in 1945 and attended Lockyear Business College. Paul served honorably in the United States army from Nov. 1951 — Oct. 1953,
stationed in Germany for 18 months. Paul retired from George Bosler Leather Co. of Louisville, Kentucky in 1998. He worked 51 years in the shoe supply business.
Paul was a member of Christian Fellowship Church, the Upper Room Class
and the Bill Gilles support group. He served on the hospital visitation team
for 30 years and he considered that to be his personal ministry. He also
served at bereavement dinners and ushered at the 8 o'clock service. Paul
was a member of the Christian Business Men's Bible Study and an active
member at Bob's Gym West. He was thankful to be able to travel with his
son on the Honor Flight, April 16, 2016.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years,
Pauline "Polly" (Travis) Snapp and granddaughter, Megan Snapp.
He is survived by his daughter, Lynda Reid (Bob) of Evansville, Indiana and
son, David Snapp (Shelley) of Albion, Illinois; grandchildren, Amanda
Michel (Andrew) of Evansville, Indiana, Joy Gifford (James) of Albion,
Illinois, Laura Merten (Patrick) of Evansville, Indiana, Sam Reid (Lindsay)
of Evansville, Indiana and Emily Brawner (Joseph) of Evansville, Indiana
and 7 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by sister-in-law Barbara
Bowles (Bill) of Fairland, Indiana and his nephews and nieces.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at Christian Fellowship Church, 4100 Millersburgh Road, officiated by Rev. David Neidnagel and Rev. Nathan Hazel, with entombment in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Tuesday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Alexander West Chapel and Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church.
