He retired from Whirlpool after 30 years of employment.
Paul was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Wanda Haire Young; son, David Lee Young; and daughter, Shannon Young.
He is survived by his son, Paul David Young; sisters, Velma Stallion of Newburgh and Phyllis Stalling of Mt. Vernon; brothers, Donald Young of Boonville and Carl Young of Folsomville; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 1:00 PM Monday, November 11, 2013, at Alexander East Chapel, with burial in Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit Sunday from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
