Peggy Joan Bohleber

Peggy loved Jesus. She was a loving mother, best friend to her children and a homemaker and a caregiver. Peggy was someone who touched all lives in a most special way.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Solomon and Matilda Smith; first husband, Ronald Reiter; second husband, William Bohleber; sons, Melvin Reiter and Brian Reiter; and nine siblings.

Peggy is survived by her daughter, Ronda Reiter; daughter, Tracey Schu (Larry); son, Jeff Reiter; daughter, Lisa Reiter (Gilbert); grandchildren, Melvin, Keith, Kelli, Angie, Nicholas, Tony, Roger, Tina, Chelsea, Samantha and Abbie; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Peggy’s family extends a sincere thank you to the staff of Mt. Vernon Nursing Home, Solarbron and St. Croix Hospice for their care and compassion.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, August 4, 2025 at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois Street, Evansville, IN officiated by Pastor Stephen Brown followed by burial at Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
