Peggy attended Reitz High School. She was very social and never met a stranger. She had a good heart and loved life. Peggy was a long-time seamstress with Local 37. She was a regular at Ricks 718 and First Ave Hacienda. Peggy was a long-time Harley enthusiast and won numerous awards for her bike. Her nickname was Mama Duck. Evansville lost the matriarch of the biking community.
Peggy is survived by her daughter, Angela F. Ruggles (Aaron); son, Donald “Donnie ”Hancock (Sarah); grandchildren, Jacob, Aubrey, Quintin, Hattie; siblings, Beverly Lacefield, Karen Miles, Darlene Grant (David), Johnny Anderson (Kandi), Tommy Anderson (Lori); numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 24, 2021 and Saturday, 10:00 a.m. until service time at Alexander West Chapel. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 25, 2021 officiated by Pastor Jeff Long with burial to follow in Alexander Memorial Park.
