

Peggy J. Stephens, 63, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2012, at Deaconess Hospital. She was born November 30, 1948, in Brookfield, MO to the late Thomas Walsh and Crystal (Almond) Perkins.
She worked at Wal-Mart for 25 years and loved Country Line Dancing. She participated in fundraisers for Riley Hospital for Children, the American Heart Association, and Susan G. Komen Foundation. She attended Crosswalk Fellowship, where she was very active with Sunday school and was Treasurer.
Peggy is survived by her husband of 21 years, Delbert Stephens; son, Jeffery Thomas Moore, both of Evansville; daughters, Sarah “Carly” Ellard (Danny) of Boonville and Leah Arabia (Michael) of Hawthorne, NJ; grandchildren, Austin Lee Moore, Austin and Sydnee Ellard and Nicholas and Connor Arabia; and her beloved pets, Angel and Abby.
Services will be 11:00 AM Friday, November 16, 2012, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Pastor Tony Yates, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Thursday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
