Philip W. Seibert

Philip W. Seibert, 78, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, February 17, 2011 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital. He was born on August 19, 1932 in Wabash County, Illinois.
He was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church for over 50 years. Philip was a member of the choir and served as a MYF leader.
Philip was a Navy veteran and member of the Naval Reserve for 26 years.
He was an owner of the Seibert Christmas Tree Farm.
Philip worked in Industrial Sales and Service at Swanson-Nunn. He started the chemistry lab at Babcock-Wilcox and worked as a chemist at Arkla.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herschel and Vera (Schwartz) Seibert.
Philip is survived by his wife of 51 years, Miriam Seibert; sons, Stephen Seibert of Elberfeld, and Stanley Seibert and wife Susan of New Port Richey, FL; daughter, Suzanne Seibert of Mt. Vernon; grandpa to Mia Li; Bampi to Sadie, and Sylvia.
Services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by Pastor Danny Walker with burial at Centenary Cemetery. Friends may visit Monday from 1:00 to 7:00 PM at Alexander North Chapel and on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until service time.
Memorial contributions may be made to Centenary UMC Endowment or Building Fund.
