Obituary of Phyllis Louise Schaaf
Phyllis Louise (Moore) Schaaf, 71, of Evansville, passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville. She was born November 1, 1949, in Evansville to the late Robert and Doris (Bullock) Moore. She served in the U.S. Air Force upon graduating from high school and was a beloved wife, mom, grandmother and friend. In her free time, Phyllis enjoyed reading and sewing. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Robert, Jr., Jeffrey, Scott and Haskell “Hack” Moore, and infant brother, Donald Moore. Phyllis is survived by her husband of 49 years, Robert Schaaf of Evansville; daughters, Jamie Jacobs (Wayne) of Roseville, MI and Tammy Schaaf of Evansville; son, Gerald Schaaf (Yolanda) of Denver, CO; sister, Brenda Lange (Mike) of St. Meinrad; brother, Rodger Moore of Tell City; ten (10) grandchildren, Steve (Ashlei), Jessica, Corbin, Carson, Nick, Harmony, Colton, Ethan, Frank and Anna; and one (1) great-grandchild, Cain. There will be no visitation. Committal service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 31, 2021 in the Alexander Memorial Park Chapel of Remembrance. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to FARA (Friedreich’s Ataxia Research Alliance) on behalf of her grandson, Colton, who suffers from FA.
