

Ramona “Monnie” Jean Farmer, 85, of Evansville, passed away Monday, August 15, 2016, at Deaconess VNA Plus Hospice. She was born August 19, 1930, in Wadesville, to the late Earl W. and Mabel (Iphofen) Hargan.
She graduated from Wadesville High School and was a homemaker. She was a lifelong member of Washington Avenue Church of Christ, where she was involved in the senior Sunday school class. Monnie loved to play cards. She was an animal lover and loved her cats.
Monnie was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Lee Farmer, in 1997; and grandson, Jeremy Farmer.
She is survived by her daughter, Debbie West; son, Jerry W. (Carolyn) Farmer, both of Evansville; sister, Sandy (Gerald) Barnes of Salem, KY; grandchildren, Susan (Richard) Burek, Deserae (John) Mohr, Donna Sue Leonard, and Joseph (Lisa) West; ten great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, August 18, 2016, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Stephen Rogers, with burial in Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit Wednesday from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
