

She attended Reitz High School and later earned her GED. She worked at RuVan and Multiseal in the plastics industry. Her greatest love was spending time with her family - cookouts, swimming, and get-togethers of all kinds. She had a sweet tooth and loved cooking pies for family and co-workers. Grandkids and great-grandkids knew her as the best gift giver ever.
Rebecca is survived by her life partner of 36 years, Charles "Rick" Brown, daughters Katrina Cox (Jeff) and Deadrea Embry (Robbie) as well as Rick's children, Rick and April. Her grandchildren are Dustin Cox, Haley Phillips, Brooklynn Gibson (Jason), Jada Campbell, Jocelyn Cox and Serenity Cox, Gavin Cooper, Christina Miller and Alexis Hawkins. And her great-grandchildren are Lucas, James "Jay", Jazlyn, Harmoni, Ayvah, AJ, Raelynn, Chy'rell, Keith and Tula; and brother, Kenneth (Karen) Cox.
She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Phyllis Prideaux, Irvin and Roger Cox.
Friends and family may gather for a visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois Street, Evansville, IN. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 officiated by Bishop Luke Smith. Her final resting place will be at Tupman Cemetery following the services.
