Regina "Nanny" Howard Castle

She was employed at Woolworths in North Park in the Sewing department, and Stewarts at Washington Square. She retired as a bookkeeper from Truck Clean, and later ran a daycare with her daughter.

Nanny loved children and enjoyed spending time with the daycare children and her grandchildren. She spent four years caring for her mother before her death in 2004. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the most important thing in her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jerry; and great-granddaughter, Megan Cheshire.

Nanny is survived by her daughters, Linda Brown (Fred), Lisa Anderson (Steve); 7 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by, Rev. David Vibbert, with burial at Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at the funeral home.
