Obituary of Reva J Watson
Reva Joan (Frith) Luther Watson received her angel wings on March 26, 2020. She was 86 years young. She was born on February 8, 1934. She was raised by Iola and Roosevelt Dunn along with her sister and 2 brothers. She was a west sider thru and thru and attended Reitz High School. Joni married the love of her life Horace G Luther Jr in 1962 and they raised their children together until his untimely death in 1977 at the age of 47. She had a servant heart and was always happiest taking care of others. It was her joy, ministry and Gift from God. She also enjoyed cooking, crocheting and was an amazing dancer. She won a dance contest when she was 9 months pregnant with her first child! She spent most of her life at home raising her 6 children, she also enjoyed being with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was the best nana ever. After raising her children she went to work as the Hostess at Clearcrest Country Club, where she was dearly loved, until her retirement. Joni is survived by her children Will Luther (Rita Williams) DeeDee Riat (Bill) Terry VanWinkle (Mark) Sherry Titzer (Alan) Skeet Luther (Sharon) Kimberly Marquez and our “red headed step sister” Christine Hadley (Brian Smith). Grandchildren Justin Riat (Niki) Breea Riat Hays (Travis) Billy Kothe (Melissa) Kim Tuck Amy Neikirk (Mark) Kari Neavielle (Brady) Tony and Chelsea Titzer, Brandon Luther (Marie) Ian Luther (Ayako) Jason Malone (Wendy) Kevin Malone (Kimberly) Justin Clark (Stephanie) and Jessica Schaefer (Joe). She also left behind 22 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Horace G Luther Jr., sister Geneva Boring, and brothers Ray and Lavon Johnson. There will be a private graveside service. We will have a Celebration of Life for our amazing mother when we can all hug each other and truly celebrate this beautiful lady and her wonderful life!
