Richard C. Durgy, 77, of Evansville, IN, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2019. He was born On May 27, 1941 in Flushing NY to the late William and Madge Durgy.

Richard graduated from North High School. He retired from Alcoa after working there for 38 years. Richard was a member of Methodist Temple, Newburgh Masonic Lodge and Wood Carvers. He enjoyed painting, wood carving and gardening.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, June Cissell and Helen Nelson; brother, William Durgy.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Dottie; son, William Durgy (Tracy); daughter, Seby Durgy; grandchildren, Andrew, Sarah and Hannah Durgy; brother, David Bell; sister-in-law, Darlene Aker; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at Methodist Temple Church, officiated by Pastor Pat Jackson. Friends may visit from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 8, 2019 at Alexander East Chapel, with Masonic Services.

We were not able to visit during Ricks showing. We were very saddened by this loss to you and your family and just want the family to know you are in our thoughts and prayers. Rick is an awesome man and will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
