Rick joined the US Marine Corp and voluntarily served in Vietnam. He belonged to the VFW, American Legion, Red Brush Rifle Club and NRA. He was an avid gun collector and belonged to Harwood Baptist Church. Rick was a very devoted father and loving husband.
Rick was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Goodwin; mother, Rosalie Reynolds; father Loren Goodwin; and sisters, Norma Jean Goodwin and Carolyn Buzzingham.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Goodwin; daughters, Crystal (Andrew) Jourdan, Laura (Daniel) Stone and Martina (Jerry) Riggle; son, Johnny Weyanna; many grand and great-grandchildren; sister, Marsha Mortis; and many nieces, nephews; and beloved nephews, Stanley and Mark Hatfield.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, December 21, 2017, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. Karl Crowe, with burial in Locust Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Thursday from 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
