Dick leaves behind his beloved wife Anne of 40 years, and his sons, Anthony “Tony” Verdeja of New Mexico, James “Jim” (Beth) Day of Wisconsin and Richard “Ricky” Day of Minnesota.
Dick was an avid reader, and a few of his favorite authors included Stephen King, Tom Clancy, and Dean Koontz. He retired from Whirlpool after a dedicated career. Dick proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1960 to 1964. He was also a lifelong member of the American Legion in White Bear Lake, Minnesota.
A full Military Honor Funeral will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in the fall of 2025.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to Heart to Heart Hospice and the Care Forth Team, Amanda, Jenny, and Laura for their compassionate care and support during his final days.
