Richard Alan King

He graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in 1960 and retired from J.R. Short Milling Company in 2007. He was known and loved for his generosity and sense of humor.

Richard was preceded in death by his brothers-in-law, Tom Brooks and Mike Strange.

He is survived by his daughter, Brandi (Robert) McKinney; grandchildren, Brandon (Jennifer) McKinney and Brittany (Ryan) Webster; great-grandchildren, Kaleb, Brayden, Jackson, Madelyn and Layla; brothers, Sonny (Josie) King, David (Joan) King and John (Gerri) King; sisters, Virginia Brooks and Doris Strange; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, November 16, 2015, at Salem United Church of Christ Heusler, 11325 Lower Mount Vernon Rd., Evansville, IN 47712, officiated by Pastor Al Schmitz, with burial in Salem United Church of Christ Heusler Cemetery. Friends may visit Monday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the church.
