Richard F. Tosti

Richard F. Tosti, 97, of Evansville, IN, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2020. He was born in Evansville, IN on July 1, 1922 to the late Frank and Emileen Tosti. Richard was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, VFW 1114 and AMVETS. He was an Army veteran having served during WWII. Richard was Chief Warrant Officer at the National Guard Armory for 23 years and worked at the Evansville Post Office for 26 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; daughters, Lynda Salamone and Gayle Phippin; 3 grandchildren; Christina Butler, Anthony Tosti, Jr., Clinton Tosti Patrick; sisters, Helen and Marie. Richard is survived by his sons, Richard. E. Tosti (Rosanna), Anthony Tosti (Darlene), John Tosti (Kathleen Seemayer), Joe Tosti, Jimmy Tosti (Sherri); daughters, Mary “Francie” Butler (Ken), Stacy Patrick (Sam), Kelly Bowlds; 5 generations of grand- children; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by Fr. Jason Gries and burial to follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Vanderburgh County Retired Veterans Memorial Club. Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home, and, from noon until service time on Wednesday.
