Richard L. Wilson

Dick Wilson, 81, of Evansville, IN, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2019. He was born in Evansville, IN on January 15, 1938 to the late Noble and Dorothy Wilson. Dick was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 1114. Dick graduated in 1956 from Bosse High School, and later from the University of Evansville in 1965. He was a long time member of the Methodist Temple, Eagles, Gourmet Club and Tall Club. Dick truly enjoyed cooking, photography and dancing, especially big band, swing and jazz. He loved dark chocolate. Dick was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bob Wilson and John Wilson; sisters-in-law, Sara Wilson, Mary Wilson, Ruth Wilson and Helen Wilson. He is survived by daughter, Julie Derrington; son, Rick Wilson (Sheila); brother, Bill Wilson; sisters, Libby Wilson, Martha Wesson (Allen), Diane McKenzie; grandson, Jesse Derrington; granddaughters, Gretchen Wilson and Audrey Wilson, and other family cousins, nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Alexander East Chapel. Burial will be held at a later date. Friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
