Rick Shellenberger

Rick E. Shellenberger, 62, of Mooresville, NC, former resident of Evansville, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021 in North Carolina. He was the son of Mrs. Robert (Ruth) Shellenberger and the former Dr. Robert E. Shellenberger. A graduate of FJ Reitz High School and the University of Evansville with a degree in Electrical Engineering, he worked for many years as an Advanced Program Project Development Engineer at Thompson Consumer Electronics (RCA) in Bloomington and Indianapolis, IN before his early retirement. He was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Evansville. Survivors are his mother, Ruth Shellenberger; brother, Rohn E. Shellenberger and his wife Cindy; niece, Lauren Shellenberger; and nephew, Jeff Shellenberger, (all of Mooresville, NC) Due to COVID restrictions, a graveside service will be held on Friday, January 8, 2021 officiated by Rev. Mary Hurley. Friends who would like to join in the funeral procession to Oak Hill Cemetery for the service, may line up in the parking lot of Alexander East Chapel at 11:00 a.m. The family asks that you please remain in your vehicle until you reach the cemetery.
