Robert Brad Bradley Allen

He was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church in Newburgh and a former member of Trinity Evangelical Free Church in South Bend. He worked for Springleaf Financial in Evansville and previously for Citigroup in South Bend. An avid runner, he often sang the Lord’s praises while he ran. He enjoyed reaching out to others, wishing them a “blessed day” as he ran by. He loved reading the Bible, praying, and telling others about the Lord. He loved spending time with his family outdoors and watching birds from his window.

Brad is preceded in death by his father, Robert P. Allen.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Allen; sons, Benjamin (Tori) Allen of Indianapolis, and John, Ethan and Daniel Allen; daughter, Lydia Allen; step-daughters, Jennifer Brothers of Los Angeles, CA and Melissa Barnett (Steve Nebus) of South Bend, IN; mother, Dorothy M. Allen of South Bend, IN; four grandchildren; sisters, Christy Reeves of Osceola, IN and Lisa (Pete) Newell of Granger, IN; brother, Doug (Elizabeth) Allen of Indianapolis, IN; nieces, Samantha Allen and Sarah Newell; and nephews, Chaz Reeves, Brandon Reeves, Adam Newell and Robert Allen.

A Homegoing Service will be 10:00 AM Saturday, January 4, 2014, at Maranatha Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Curtis Hall. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the church, with a Celebration of Life starting at 7:00 PM.
