Robert L. Holtz

Robert Robert L. Holtz, 78, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2019. He was born June 22, 1940 in Evansville. He was a member of Local 1189 United Mine Workers, and retired from Squaw Creek Mine after 34 years of employment. He loved to ride and raise horses. Robert was preceded in death by father, Robert T. Holtz; sister, Roberta Bitter and brother-in-law, Ron Bitter. He is survived by mother, Virginia Holtz; son, Lee W. Holtz (Sheryl); daughter, Dee Ann Messamore (Doug); grandchildren, Jacob Holtz, Justin Holtz, Lauren Powell and Logan Porter; sisters, Regina Sisk; Vanell Volkman and Pamela Young (Roger); step-grandchildren, Andrea Messamore and Doug Messamore, Jr., and nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be 12:00 p.m., Saturday, June 15, 2019 at Alexander Memorial Park Chapel of Remembrance, 2200 Mesker Park Drive.
