He was a member of St. John’s East United Church of Christ and many civic organizations. He was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran and a Funeral Director for Alexander Funeral Home for 66 years.
Robert was preceded in death by his son, Keith Robert Schuerger; brother, Charles Schuerger; and his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jacqueline Schuerger; son, Kent (Donna) Schuerger; grandchildren, Logan Robert Schuerger, Lynsey (Jason) Marfilius, Ellen Hayes Schuerger and Margaret Elizabeth Schuerger.
Private services were held. Robert's cremains are to be scattered in the Pacific Ocean.
