Roberta “Bobbie” Jean Merritt, 65, of Jasper, IN, formerly of Evansville, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2016, at Deaconess Hospital. She was born July 31, 1950, in Evansville, Indiana, to the late Thomas and Mary Katherine (Duncan) Voyles, Sr.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Merritt in 2007, and a grandson.
Roberta is survived by her sons, David Hanes, Jr. (Misty Huff) and Billy Somers; daughter, Tina Somers (Peter Allie); four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sister, Mary Biggs (Rick) and brother, David Voyles (Brenda).
Funeral Services will be 12:00 PM, Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Alexander West Chapel. Friends may visit 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Private burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery on Monday.
