Ronald Hall, Sr.

Ronald “Ron” Hall, Sr., 81, of Evansville, IN, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018, at Good Samaritan. He was born April 8, 1937, in Evansville to the late Margaret M. Hall and Carl C. Hall. He was also preceded in death by step-mother Geneva Hall.
Ron was a Medic in the US Air Force for 8-1/2 years. He graduated with an Associate’s Degree from Ivy Tech in Heating and Air Conditioning with a 4.0 grade point average.
He started his first driving job for Sterling Brewery and later worked for Budlock, Whirlpool, and Whirlpool Tech Care. He retired from Overnight Transportation. He also owned Ron Hall’s Appliance.
Ron accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and was a member of Glory Road Baptist Church. He loved to sing and listen to Gospel, Blues, and Country Music. He wrote a few songs of which two were later recorded. He loved riding his Harley Davidson and Indian motorcycles. He loved old cars, writing poetry, and was an avid belt buckle collector.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Virginia “Ginny” (Dement) Hall; children, Ron Hall, Jr. (Donna), Mary Margaret Fuson (Eric), Cynthia Hoehn (Dan), Carl Lee Hall (Dannette) and Rebecca Blaine (Scott); 17 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; brothers, Monte Hall (Deanna) and James “Mike” Hall (Helen); half-sister, Carol Morse; step-sister, Judy Bergonia; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 9:30 AM Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Pastor Delbert Bryant, with burial in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Friends may visit Monday from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Tuesday from 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
