Ron was a graduate of North High School. He graduated from the University of Evansville and started a long career in banking. He retired from Heritage Federal Credit Union after a long, successful career as President and C.E.O. Ron enjoyed boating and golfing.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his faithful wife of 45 years, Cathy McConnell; son, Jarrod McConnell; son, Christopher Clodfelter (Christina); granddaughter, Claire Clodfelter; sister, Lois Wells (Larry); and many nieces and nephews to cherish his memory.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 27, 2026 at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Ave. Evansville, IN, officiated by Fr. Tyler Underhill. Burial will follow the service in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Friends and family may visit from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Monday, October 26, 2026 and from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.
