Ronald Lynn Scott, Sr., 66, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2022, at Linda E. White Hospice House. He was born October 20, 1955, in Evansville, Indiana to the late Ruben and Jeanette (Toliver) Scott.
Ron was a retired veteran of the US Marine Corp, and also served as a Sergeant in the US Army. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Sandy, Nona, Joyce; and brother, Bob.
Ron is survived by daughter, Gloria Nichols (Joe); son, Ronald L. Scott, Jr.; daughters, Delilah K. Sweeney, Jennifer M. Peak, and Amber R. Young (Don); 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brother, Butch Scott (Nancy); sister, Kae Scott; nieces, nephews, and his best bud “Scrappy”.
A Military Service will be performed by the Vanderburgh County Retired Veterans Memorial Club at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue, followed by visitation from 2:00 p.m. until the Memorial Service at 6:00 p.m with Pastor Mike Claypool officiating.
