Ruth E. Ellis

She was a member of St. Benedict’s Cathedral.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Eugene C. Ellis; parents, Stephen and Stella Hassler; and brother, Jerry Hassler.

She is survived by her son, Larry E. Ellis (Patricia) of Evansville; daughter, Sharon K. Sauer (Bob Ekstrom) of Huntersville, NC; granddaughter, Andrea Sauer of Vail, CO; grandsons, Matthew E. Ellis (Mindy) and Jeremy D. Ellis (Mary); great-grandchildren, Logan and Evan Ellis, Kegan Mullen and Lauren Miley; brother, Stephen Hassler of Bedford; nieces and nephews.

Services will be 1:00 PM Friday, October 22, 2010, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Fr. Jim Sauer and Fr. Ted Tempel with burial in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Friends may visit Friday from 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
